Community Meeting

The Kaw Nation invites all tribal members and interested parties to

attend an open meeting to discuss the

FY 2020 ANA Native American

Language Preservation and

Maintenance funding availability. 

Purpose: to receive input from the tribal community regarding the application/project.

Beginner's Class

This class is for beginners of all ages and begins with learning the Kaáⁿze íe alphabet, numbers, colors, and animals. Click the button below for the first lesson packet.

Pilot Class

This class is more advanced and delves into verb conjugation, translating sentences from English to Kaáⁿze íe, and speaking Kaáⁿze íe. Click on the button below for our current lessons.

Youth Class

This class is geared for youth, ages 12-17, and features a Language Fair Competition every year. Currently, they are working on translating a song from English to Kaáⁿze íe to sing at the Fair.
